Auckland is at Alert Level 4, which means some changes to our hospitals and clinics. Find out more. As always, we're here if you need us.
All research at the Auckland DHB requires institutional approval. The standard approval pathway is via the Research Review Committee (RRC).
The RRC generally reviews all research requiring the approval of a Health and Disability Ethics Committee (HDEC), all research requiring a budget, and some lower risk studies not requiring requiring HDEC approval, but where the research affects the normal care of patients.
If your research project has none of these features it may be appropriate for the Auckland DHB low risk study review process.
The Auckland DHB standard research approval pathway generally runs in tandem with the HDEC approval.
To submit your research for consideration at RRC meetings contact the Research Office team. All applications must be made on the application form for approval of a research project at Auckland DHB.
