“Raewyn gave the B4School hearing test to my son. To start with, Raewyn enquired which daycare or preschool he attended. When we told her that he attended kōhanga, Raewyn started speaking te Reo. My son lit up, and from that point on, he started to interact and follow instructions, and thoroughly enjoyed his hearing test with Raewyn.
“Raewyn went above and beyond by providing the opportunity for my son to communicate in his preferred language. She actively protected our values and beliefs as parents and whānau Māori. I don’t know how the appointment would have gone if we didn’t have her as our hearing technician.
“Being Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, I am reminded of the taonga that are our staff who enable safe spaces for our tamariki and other patients to speak in Reo.
