Celebrating 2020 International Year of the Nurse and Midwife

Last year was the World Health Organisation International Year of the Nurse and Midwife.

COVID-19 meant everyone had to change their plans, but we wanted to finish 2020 with a few special surprises for our tapuhī.

Our celebration included:

  • a letter to our tapuhī from Chief Nursing Officer Margaret Dotchin and Midwifery Director Deborah Pittam
  • a badge for each of our tapuhī, unique to us; and
  • a series of videos featuring some of our amazing tapuhī.

Watch our tapuhī as they share insights into their careers.

Ngā mihi to the tapuhī who took part in the videos. Tēnā rawa atu koe to our key sponsor Auckland Health Foundation(), for making these celebrations possible.

And thank you to all our tapuhī for the huge role they play in protecting the health of Tāmaki Makaurau.
