Pat Snedden announced as new Chair of Auckland DHB

Health Minister Dr David Clark has announced Pat Snedden as the new chair of Auckland District Health Board, from 1 June, 2018.

Board member Gwen Tepania-Palmer has been interim Chair of Auckland DHB following the resignation of Dr Lester Levy, and will continue on the Board.

Auckland DHB Chief Executive, Ailsa Claire says: “The Board and leadership team warmly congratulate Pat Snedden as their new Chair. We look forward to welcoming him back to Auckland DHB.

“I also want to thank Gwen Tepania-Palmer for her leadership as our interim Chair.”

Pat Snedden is Director of the Ports of Auckland and has previously chaired both the Auckland and Counties Manukau DHBs.

He is also currently chair of the Big Idea Charitable Trust, National Science Challenge and Manaiakalani Education Trust. He has received the NZ Order of Merit for services to education and Māori.
